Steps to set up domain specific email with Microsoft Outlook.
- Go to start -> search “Microsoft Outlook” and click on it.
- You will get “Account Configuration” page.
- You will get “Auto Account Setup” options
- Choose Service
- Internet Email Settings
- Outgoing Sever
- Test Account Settings
“Yes” will be auto selected. Keep it “Yes” and click Next.
Email Account will be Auto Selected.
Click on “Manually configure server Settings or additional server types” and click Next.
Internet E-mail will be auto selected. Keep it and click Next.
Add name, email address and all the required details.
For server information:
Incoming mail server: mail.YOURDOMAIN.com
Outgoing mail server: mail.YOURDOMAIN.com
Click on More Settings.
Check “My outgoing server(SMTP) requires authentication”
Then click on “Advanced”
Click on “Leave a copy of messages on the server” if you want to keep on web mail also.
Then you will return to “Internet E-mail Settings” screen.
After successful testing it will look like:
Click Close and then Click on Finish
You are Done. You will get the Dashboard of your email Account.
If you get an error while testing the account:
Sending error in Outlook: “Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)
Then, you need to do following changes in “Internet E-mail Settings”
Set the SMTP server port to 587 and the encryption type to Auto.
Add another account in Outlook
Go to Files -> Add Account
If you have 2 or more account then you can also set default email for sending the mail:
Go to Files -> Account Settings
- Click on -> New Email -> Insert -> Signature
- Click New
- Give the name of New Signature.
- Click OK
Add Text and Images you want in your signature.
